Noida, May 20 (PTI) Police is yet to make any breakthrough in the sensational murders of a teenaged girl and her family help here even as investigators conducted a search in the garage of the doctor-couple's residence where the killings took place. The Special Task Force scoured the garage, which was used as a clinic till about two years ago, but could not find any clue which could help in solving the case, police sources said.
"Interrogations are going on," Additional Director General (Law and Order) Brij Lall said. Senior Superintendent of Police (Noida) A Satheesh Balan said they were close to the prime suspect.
"As of now, there is nothing I can reveal to you," he said. Balan had yesterday said they were close to cracking the case and expected to reveal the details by this afternoon.
Police were questioning a number of people, including former servants and the parents of the murdered girl Aarushi Talwar. They had yesterday detained one Vishnu, a former servant of the Talwars, whom they suspected could be behind the murder.
The body of Aarushi Talwar, daughter of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, both dentists, was found in the bedroom of their house on Friday morning and immediately police suspected the hand of Hemraj, their domestic help, in the murder. A day later the body of Hemraj was found on the terrace of the house.
